Great in the Field.  The Gates Magnum Coulter Disk is a vertical tillage machine that is adaptable to zero till and conventional tillage operations, or any variation in between.  The primary use of the Gates Magnum Coulter Disk is for extreme residue management in crops such as soybeans, corn, sunflowers and peas.  It can prepare the seedbed earlier in the spring by sizing residue and warming up the soil.

 

Saves Time and Fuel.  With the Gates Magnum Coulter Disk, you can run at high speed (6-10 mph) covering large areas in less time.  With today's high fuel prices, it can give you fuel savings of 50 to 75 percent over conventional disks and chisel plows.

 

A Winning Combination!  The combination of a large frame (8" x 4" HSS tube and 8" x 8" HSS tube), 20" coulter blades, and the ability to change the coulter gang angle from 0 degrees (straight cut, no disturbance) to 15 degrees (aggressive cutting and mixing with the soil) from the cab (hydraulic option).  This makes the Gates Magnum Coulter Disk an ideal machine for all types of farming practices.  When equipped with Gates Mounted Harrows, the Gates Magnum Coulter Disk becomes the ultimate high speed, residue management tool.

  • Heavy 1-1/4" bearings and steel sleeve protected seals on coulter hubs

  • Heavy 8 bolt wheel hubs in a bogie configuration allow maximum flotation in wet conditions
